Q: How involved are humans in the searching and sorting in Google's search engine? How effective is this system of searching? (cellis)

A: Well, humans put the information into the complex 'google' algorithms. With out humans, there would be no information to use to process the searches. In other words, google could have the greatest and best search engine of all time (that is definitely arguable, but not the point), but without constant human interaction, the engine does not 'evolve' like it is designed. The search engine needs to be used to become better at what it does. (ckaczmarczyk)

Q: How has Google been criticized as a search engine prying into the private lives of people? Give an example highlighting some of the main criticisms cited by this author. (ijoshi)
