Hey everyone!

My name is Isha Joshi. I am double majoring in either business administration and communications or international economics and finance and communications. I took another class last semester with Brett. The material is pretty interesting and this class seems to have a good group of people. A lot of people in this class talk and make contributions to the discussions. I noticed that last semester I did not see a lot of that in my class. I was discouraged to take another media class because I was under the assumption most classes would be like that, but thus far, New Media has been proving me wrong.

A little bit about me personally: I am a dancer. I have been taking Indian Classical Dance for close to 9 years. Last summer I had a graduation type performance. I basically danced on stage for close to three hours by myself. It was to prove my understanding of the art form and that performance merited me an award that is the equivalent of a bachelors degree in that dance form. I have also taken theatre through out most of my school years. I participated in many plays in high school and I competed in interp for the speech team.

That is just a little bit about me. I hope you guys have a better understanding of me! I have no doubt that this class will enhance my understanding of my peers and my knowledge of media.
